H. Pylori test

This test is performed to detect the presence of active h Pylori infection and also the detect the results of treatment for H Pylori.

Precautions prior to the test

1. 1. Pt should not have taken any antibiotics, PPI such as Prilosec and others in the class or 2 weeks prior to the performance of the test. Bismuth preparations for
2. 2. Medications like Pepcid to be stopped at least 48 hrs . before the test
3. 3. Test should be performed at least 4 weeks after completion of H Pylori treatment.
